Ceebees - noun – A person who pretends to be what he or she is not, a poser or imposter. Tom is such a ceebee. He pretends his parents are rich just because they own a BMW.
As you go through the ranks of school you have probably heard of people who were referred to as “posers” or “wannabees.” Ceebees are the same kind of person. They pretend to be what they’re not. Ceebees may pretend to be rich or from a well to do family, when in fact they are from the same background as the people they are trying to be different from.
Ceebees are not much different from wannabees. They are people who would like to be different from how they are. They might want to be someone famous, or just act like them. They might want to be admired by the whole world, but they are just trying too hard to be cool. Some ceebees are even pretending to be experts on a certain subject, but they really don’t know much at all.
These individuals are usually recognized only in middle school and high school. After a certain age most people are not concerned about whether or not a person is a ceebee, but to young adults who are still trying to figure out who they are in life, it is a really big deal to pretend to be someone or something you are not. At this age it’s almost a crime to pretend to be someone you’re not and these individuals are labeled as ceebees, ceebers, posers and wannabees.
